Picking Clover

Doctor Michael Forsythe and his wife, Polly, have had a long and loving marriage, but tragedy has torn them apart. Polly can’t seem to find peace or happiness again.
But sometimes the most unlikely situations and people have the power to heal broken hearts.
Polly wants a child. But little Clover is everything Polly can’t abide–unattractive, out of control, sly. And who names a baby Clover?
But because of her husband and his generosity, Polly is stuck with the child. And it’s Polly’s fault that Clover’s father is in the hospital, so she feels guilty. There’s no one else to care for the little girl. She does her best, but Clover makes it clear she can’t abide Polly, although she gets along fine with Michael, with Isabelle, Polly’s impossibly eccentric mother. And Polly’s sister Norah dotes on the kid.
